Starting December 20, 2023, users of the PayPal payment gateway can accept online payments with Google Pay.
Google Pay is a digital wallet payment method that allows shoppers with a Google account to make transactions without needing to enter their payment information.
With Google Pay, you can add payment buttons to your storefront product, cart, and checkout pages for streamlined purchases and an optimized mobile checkout experience.
After setting up the PayPal payment gateway in your store, you can enable Google Pay by navigating to Settings › Payments in the control panel and clicking Set up next to Google Pay in the Digital Wallets menu.
In the Google Pay Settings tab, check that PayPal is listed as your configured payment provider. This indicates that Google Pay is available on your storefront.
